libcrypt-saltedhash-perl software package provides module for handling salted hashes, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcrypt-saltedhash-perl
libcrypt-saltedhash-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcrypt-saltedhash-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcrypt-saltedhash-perl *
You will get with libcrypt-saltedhash-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
